Coat : ASDA via eBay | Scallop-collared Blouse : ASOS | Dress : H&M | Jumper : Hand-Me-Down | Loafers : New Look

Been a little while since a #ootd hasn't it? After the super self-conscious shots outside, I'm keeping it real and taking things back to my corridor with a tripod and self timer...I'm never going to be a #fulltimefashionblogger, and I'm totally okay with that.

Another thing I'm totally okay with is this outfit. In fact, I like it so much that I've sported it to various occasions - bonfire night, casual date night drinks and a lunchtime meeting with my work ladies. Just because the weather has turned dark and miserable, doesn't mean you can't dress brightly - in fact, some days it's exactly what I need to get me out of the house.

The crowning glory is obviously this mustard coat - the sort I have been searching for forever and which has received three or four really lovely comments while I've been out and about. It's deceptively warm, and I love the way it contrasts with the rich pink of my jumper. Add in some extra little details - scallop-collar blouse, bright turquoise rimmel polish and hair I actually bothered to plait-curl before sleep the night before, and you have my favourite easy winter look.
