I've long had a bit of a love/hate relationship with Primark. It' was my absolute bezzie in my teenage years when I was skint and changed my 'signature style' about as regularly as I did my favourite band, but as I've grown older, I can't help but be self-conscious about both the environmental and ethical impact of such fast fashion.

That said, I have noticed a distinct improvement in quality for the brand. I may not have bought anything in ages, but their social media presence has improved tenfold, as has their transparency about workers rights. For the first time in quite some time, I've found myself coveting quite a few items. I've always prefered their autumn stuff anyway - far less tacky slogans, fluro colours and non-lined skirts.

Anyway, I digress. Here is a lovely moodboard of all the fancies that will be most likely making their way into my shopping basket  - cracking basic staples that will make your more expensive statement pieces work harder. Pattern-mad wardrobe, thank me later. I haven't been having much luck finding any of these in my local Leeds store so do let me know if you find them on your travels!
