Denim, Stripes and Humidity Hair

What bizarre weather we've been having here in the UK. One second I'm throwing open every window in the flat to air out the ridiculous heat, the next I'm frantically scrabbling under my bed trying to find my umbrella and wondering if I can really get through another mudsoaked festival season.

Still, let's try and forget that I just started what is meant to be a fashion post with musings about something as mundane as the weather. Part 60s mod, part 90s shoegazer, today's outfit is a typically bargaineous affair - a £6 New Look Bodycon teamed with ancient ASOS loafers and my new denim jacket from The Vintage Kilo Sale. I've never thought of myself as much of a denim kind of gal, but this jacket has been pretty much superglued to my back - it's suprisingly warm, goes with everything and makes me feel a little bit like I should be part of some sort of girl gang. I'm still weighing up whether to leave it plain or cover it in patches - I'm thinking a montage of feminist sloganeering, cherries and drake's face. Plus, the heaviness of it really helps balance out the size of my humidity-afflicted hair and contrasts with the slim fit of the bodycon, preventing any 'sideshow bob' jokes. Thanks Jacket, you're the best.
