New Workwear with Next

For those of you who found my post a few weeks ago about life post-graduation a little emo, you'll be pleased to know that I've finally found work! I start my first day as a Content Writer for Epiphany PR in a few days and whilst I'm going to miss having as much time to update this blog, it's great to be back in a place where I have some purpose and will hopefully be creatively stimulated in an office of what seems like really fun people. It's a bit of a commute away in Leeds, but I'm oddly looking forward to the train journeys to catch up on music and organise my that a bit geeky? I can't explain how good it feels to be working on something that is actually related to my degree, and to finally have an excuse to bust out the smart stationery I've been hoarding.

Best of all, let's talk Office wardrobe. Although my new job has a very relaxed dress code, my wardrobe has been in need of an adult refresh for a while, so I've been spending my days doing some good online browsing. Whilst I was searching for a full time job, I managed to secure a part time contract with Next. My full time job offer came up before I could actually do a shift, but having undergone all the training and a store tour, I was reminded of how great the brand is for good quality essentials - I bought a black vest top from there over three years ago which is still going strong and worn at least three times a week. Even though I'm no longer working there (bye bye staff discount, sob), I've put together a few looks that I'm contemplating spending my first wages on - things that will look presentable and fashion-forward for work but will also add versatility to my pattern-mad personal wardrobe. I'm thinking lots of black and sharp tailored lines,  girlified with lighter accessories. And who could resist those pretty kitty shoes? Certainly not me...
