Outfit: All Primark

Sorry-not-sorry for the image overhaul, but my partner in crime Kevin did such a great job with the crowd shots! If you couldn't tell already, I spent my bank holiday weekend fulfilling a childhood dream by working as a reviewer at Leeds Festival. Having died a few times inside over the line up and my lack of a ticket, I couldn't believe it when I was allowed in as press for my music blog safetyinsound.com, so a million thankyous are in order to the lovely team at The Zeitgeist Agency for their generosity and wonderful hospitality across the weekend.

The joys of dressing for festivals means being prepared for virtually anything weatherwise, so I decided to sport my trusty £3 Primark jumper again - warm enough for rain, but with enough holes for good ventilation in a crowd. Throw on the obligatory wellies and an old floral skirt and I was good to go. High maintenance is definitely not for me.

So who did I see play on the Friday? Well (deep breath), I managed to catch sets by The Wytches, Twin Shadow, Saint Raymond, Jungle, Clean Bandit, Simon Amstell, You Me At Six, The Pains Of Being Pure At Heart, Macklemore & Ryan Lewis and Blink 182. Having heard not-so-good things about Blink's live show in the past, my expectations were low but they were amazing: all the hits in a fun, feel good set. Props to Macklemore also - the crowd didn't seem to be feeling it too much but it's been a long time since I saw someone perform with that much energy. That was before I saw Paramore play on the saturday. But more of that tomorrow!
